The End of The Year

1. What were some of your goals at the beginning of this school year, both for school as well as for your personal life?
- To get good scores in every subjects.

2. How many of these goals do you think that you have met? Can you please explain your answers?
- In some of the subjects, I get good scores, but some of the subjects I didn't get really good scores, so I still need to improve more and study harder.

3. For the goals that you've met, what helped you to meet those goals? Were there any people who helped you meet them, as well?
- My lesson teacher helped me, he teach me many new vocabulary that connected to the subject that I'm not really good at.

4. For the goals that you did not meet, what stopped you from meeting those goals?
- I didn't get a good scores in some of the subjects, because I don't study hard and I need more improvements.

5. What will be some of your goals for next year, both for school as well as for your personal life?
- I will have the same goals as this years, I want to get good scores in every subjects, and also improve more my understanding.

6. What have you learned about yourself this year, both as a student and as a person?
- I make many friends and I can join girl basketball teams to improve my basketball skills.

7. Do you think your English has improved this year? Why has it or hasn't it?
- Yes, I think my English is improve this year because I learn many new vocabulary and I also improve my understanding.

Final Task: Analysis

I choose guitar for my topic and "How can I learn to play and teach others a simple song on the guitar" is my essential question. I choose this topic because I think that this unit will be fun if I choose the topic that related to music. And I choose that essential question because in my task, I have to play a simple song and teach how to play it.

There are 3 part of bloom's taxonomy that we already done, knowledge, comprehension, and application. There are some task in each level. On knowledge part, I have to researching about the to do list that I write in the Google docs, it was researching about the basic notes, and also the most successful guitar player, I also included some images. On comprehension part, it was also research, and my first task is to "Describe how to become a better guitar player", second task is to "Explain why guitar player are good at playing guitar", third task is to "Compare the good guitar player and the bad guitar player". And on application part, I included a video that I made, I record myself when I'm playing guitar, I played a simple song, show the each notes that I found on knowledge part and also where the fingers go in each cord.

Now, I will answer the essential question that I choose, which is "How can I learn to play and teach others a simple song on the guitar". This question is to teach others how to play a simple son on the guitar. Firstly, when you are going to play a song, you should know how to play the notes, secondly, choose a easy song to play, thirdly, play the notes one by one, and it will be easier to play a song on the guitar.

UOI Interview With Mrs. Raisdana

First, I will tell you the 3 questions that I chose for the interview with Mrs. Raisdana. The first question is "If you could choose your topic again, would you choose the same one, or a different one? Explain why." The second question is "If you could re-do any part of your project so far, what would you change and why?" and the third question is "Can you describe some problems that you had when completing your tasks for this project? What did you do to try to solve them?". The reason that I chose the first question because every should be choose the topic that they think they can do well. The reason for second question is because there are some parts that I've done are not really good, and I wanted to change if I can redo. And the reason for the third question is because there are some problems when I'm completing my task, that's why I chose that question to answer.

After I got the answer, the thing that I will do to prepare for the interview with Mrs. Raisdana is, I will understand more about the question first then answer one by one with detail. After I answer all the question, I memorized the answer and try to talk clearly.

I think it will be better if I can memorized it, because If I don't memorized the answer, I will failed when I'm having the interview with Mrs. Raisdana. And I have to understand the question really good.

I've prepared for this interview before I do it, but I didn't prepare a lot. When I prepare for this interview, I have to understand the question that I'm going to answer first, then answer the question one by one. I think I did well in this interview, but maybe my voice in quite in weak, not loud enough.

Final Post

Max’s father and Max are family because when Max is hungry, Max’s father unties him so that Max can find and eat boxes of prunes, old cereal and a bowl of cornflakes with water. It happens on Christmas eve, in the morning, Loretta Lee comes in and tells them “Merry Christmas” and gives them a box of pizza.  


Kevin and Max are very friendship because they always have fun together. And Kevin lies to Max’s father, Killer Kane, because Kevin is trying to rescue Max from his father’s threat. Max is killed by his father because Max remembers that his father killed his mom when he was young. Thus, Kevin saves Max by using squarish gun, however that he lies to Max’s father that inside of the gun there is only acid, then Kevin squarish the water to Max’s father’s eyes. It doesn’t injure him because the inside of the gun is not acid, it is just powder. 


Kevin already know that he is gonna dead, thus he didn’t tell to Max, because he doesn’t want to make Max to be fret about him. Then, when Kevin is dead, Max is really fret, that’s why he sneaks out in the morning and goes to the hospital. Max runs to the medical research building then he boots the glass in. He just wants to make sure of what the doctor said that Kevin wouldn’t have a long life and also Kevin is dead or not. What finally happens is that his heart just got too big for his body.

The Next Level: Comprehension

Describe how to become a better guitar player.
1. The basics of playing guitar are important if I want to build a solid foundation. Some must knows:
- Name of the strings, from top to bottom, the guitar strings correspond to the notes E, A, D, G, B and E.
- Tuning: even if you're playing the right notes, you can sound terrible if your strings are not tuned correctly.
- Chords: some easy chords to begin with are G, A, D and E minor. Try these chords out and practice until you're comfortable with the fingering.
- Rhythm: this is an important component of playing music, trying practicing with a metronome if you're having trouble with rhythm and beats.

2. Practice. This is one of the unavoidable truths about music: you have to practice to get better. Practice - and not "talent" - is the key to success.

Explain why guitar player are good at playing guitar.
Because they are always focus and serious to learn and practice playing guitar regularly until they have good skill at playing guitar. They also always improve their skills such as; their technics and style by creating something new and they always have ideas that can make many people or other players impressed and like their play.

Compare the good guitar player and the bad guitar player.
The good guitar player usually has good skill and they also practice harder and harder to improve their skill. We can see it when the player playing cords, moving from one cord to the other cord so well and it gives good tune or sound. While the bad guitar player, maybe because they always play the cords incorrectly and they also lazy to practice, for example: they doesn't put their fingers on the right cords so that will gives bad tune or sound.

Unit of Inquiry, week 1: Knowledge

In ESL class, we can choose any topic that we want and the teacher will help us. My topic is Guitar, and my essential question is "How can I learn to play and teach others a simple song on the guitar". Some of my task have to list the basic cords with pictures, list the most successful guitar player, describe where the fingers go in each cord and also describe why the people like to listen to guitar music.



This is the thing I do on the knowledge part this week:

In each cords we only use fore finger, middle finger, ring finger and little finger to press the strings on playing guitar.

1. C notes

4. F notes

5. G notes

These are the basic cords, the first is C notes, second is D notes, third is E notes, forth is F notes, fifth is G notes. We put fore finger in number 1, middle finger in number 2, ring finger in number 3, little finger in number 4.


Many people like to listening guitar music, because it's a classic song, so it can give beautiful rhythm and also the rhythm can make some good songs.

Welcome To My Unit Of Inquiry

During this Unit Of Inquiry, what I am going to learn is about guitar, my essential question is "how can I learn to play and teach others a simple song on the guitar." The reason why I think it is important to learn because this will help people who are talented in music then they can improve their abilities so that they will have more income. The Area Of Interaction that this topic meets is human ingenuity because we help each other. I am an auditory learner, so I will most likely choose activities that are about listening. Some activities that I will do to learn about this are: recording or making a video. To start the Knowledge part of this unit, the activities that I will need to do are learn more about the music instrument. These activities will help me because I can learn and improve more about music.

This is the project we did in google Doc slide show. Everyone do it together in ESL class. This slide show is telling about nouns. Everyone have to do 3 slides. First, we went to flickr.com and go to 'Advanced Research' and go down find a box after 'Creative Comment'. Checked that box and find image. If it said 'Some Rights Are Protected'. It's mean it is okay to use that images. After we search the images from flickr, then we what nouns is it.

1. On Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, I have free time after I finished lesson. It's about 2 hours. And Saturday and Sunday, I have more free time because I've done my homework on Friday then I can have more rest on the weekend.

2. It will affect to the time table, because some of the things that I do have to do with the topic that I choose.

3. I think it was not really difficult, but sometimes it will be difficult because we don't know when can we play, but sometimes we can play all the time and not study.

I made this comic with my partner Eunah. I make the comic in Toondoo and Eunah made a script about it. We were talking about sentence structure. First, we write a script, then we went to Toodoo and sign up for making comic. We chose the back ground and characters. After that, we used bubble speech explain about sentence structure. Lastly, we put in blogspost.

Poetry

Poetry is fun for me.

I enjoy it when we doing outside, because it was fun, and we can write many things about the nature.

And yesterday, Mr. Jabbiz was talked about the walls, it’s been boring and I being concentrate to hear what he say, but I still not really understood it.

I agree that people are scared to open up, because I’m scared also, I think we should learn more and make more friends.

I hope it’s was fun and interested when we learning about poetry. But I’m scared to write poetry, because I scared that if I fail. So I’ll try my best to write poetry.
